United Belize Advocacy Movement
The United Belize Advocacy Movement is an advocate organization that uses rights-base approach to reduce stigma and discrimination. We have been an informal CBO from 2005 and a registered NGO as of May 4, 2006. Our objectives are: To review or promote any legislation that aids in the reduction of stigma and discrimination for MARPS as described in the National HIV policy; To advocate for stigma and discrimination reduction strategies for MARPS; and To conduct research nationally to advocate for a national response to prevention gaps that is inclusive of MARPS population.
